Lost Adventure #6: Megan Karow and Chip Timm Wedding Weekend

This past weekend my boyfriend and I went to wedding number two as a couple. This time it was a family wedding and a ton of fun.

The wedding started off at a catholic service at this cute church.

Notice that the bridesmaids are all on the left side of the church while the groomsmen are all on the right!

Before the ceremony began I managed to get him into a few pictures. :) We both looked so fetching!

My boyfriend and his adorable mother. It took a few shots to even get this smile out of him. All the rest he tried to look like a goon. Oh how boys will be boys.

The bride in her fabulous dress and Father giving his daughter away... Not a very good picture but it gets me every time. Such a sincere moment.

At the reception, they did things a little different. The bride really likes to eat so the wedding party came right in and ate with everybody and then after dinner and such they did the wedding march in to the hall. The hal was also one of my favorite things at the wedding due to the fact it was Adirondacks themed. It made me feel right at home.

First dance as husband and wife as well as the father daughter dance that made me tear up. They used the Tim McGraw song from Flicka.

Watching other getting married puts a self-reflecting light over yourself and your own relationship. As humans we are often comparing ourselves to others and consequently "the grass is always greener on the other side." Well our relationship has reached 6 months officially and for the first time in my life I am completely happy with the grass on my own side of the fence. There are a couple of factors that I can attribute to this, the first being we both are our weird, smelly, awkward, annoying, crazy, sweet, loving selves. I had never realized how much I would change when I met a new guy. I know I'm not alone ladies! I have seen many of you do it too! I have finally reached a point where I was my uncensored self and I am with someone who loves me for it.  The second factor is we both know how to be together without being attached at the hip. The wedding was a perfect example of this.

My man bustin' a move with the ladies!
There were many times when my boyfriend would run off and do his own thing and I would make conversation with one of his family members. It's a relaxing feeling knowing we don't need to entertain each other but instead we each can stand on our own. Independence is such a sexy quality.

The drive back from the hotel was quite early, in fact, too early for my liking but before I was completely unconscious I managed to snap this gem of the beautiful landscape up near La Crosse, WI.

So as promised this is the first official Tuesday Post! Hope you like it!!!
