Creative Crafty #6: Homemade Thank You Cards

I did a new project this week! I made some thank you cards for my great aunts that I missed a few weeks ago when I was home. I hate buying cards when I have tons of scrapbook paper, miscellaneous colors of card stock and ample creativity.

All four Thank You Cards

To begin with I started with 12"x12" Card stock that I use in my scrap book. I find this makes the best most professional looking cards. I chose a variety of prints that all carried a similar color scheme so that I could use similar accent colors to decorate the  cards.

I folded each piece in half so that only the patterned side of the paper was showing. I then folded the paper so that it made a card opening right to left. I then used solids of card stock to decorate the cards. I also added a large square to the inside to each to write a letter on.

*Please don't mind the mess on my craft table. Things end up all over when I am in the craft zone.*

To finish these cards off, I made envelopes out of green 8.5"x 11" sheets of paper today on my lunch break. The cards and envelopes turned out exactly how I had hoped. I am printing a few pictures off to include with the cards.

Hope you all enjoy!
