Creative Crafty #14: Ceramic Mugs decorated with Sharpies

A go-to Christmas gift project of mine is to etch wine glasses which is a idea I got form watching The Martha Stewart Show a few years ago. This project has worked out for me quite well due to the fact I have a Cricut  cutting machine that allows me to customize each etching depending on the recipient of the gift.

While wandering about Pinterest I found a great tutorial on Mad in Crafts that allows me to customize plates and mugs as well as glass-wares. All that is needed is a sharpie in any color and an oven. I found mugs at Dollar Tree for $1 each and spent some time coming up with a fun design to draw on them. Once you finish the design you simple back in the oven to set the ink.

This was a great beginners craft or a great craft to do with the kids as long as there is supervision.

Happy Crafting!
